ChinaFlashPrivacy policy
ChinaFlash is an app for learning Chinese. It is designed to work without collecting personal data: you don't need an account and we don't send your information to any server.
What data is stored
Your study progress (which words you have reviewed, when they are due again, your streak, your test results) and your preferences (theme, font style, sound, language) are stored only on your device. We never receive them and cannot access them. If you delete the app, this data is deleted with it.
What data we don't collect
ChinaFlash does not collect your name, email address, location, contacts, advertising identifiers or usage data. It contains no ads, no analytics and no tracking across apps or websites.
Purchases
The “Radicals Premium” purchase is processed by Apple. Apple handles the payment and its data under its own privacy policy; we never receive your payment details or your identity. The app only asks Apple whether your account owns that purchase in order to unlock the content.
Audio and content
Pronunciation recordings, fonts and vocabulary are included inside the app. When a word has no recording, your device's built-in voice is used, without sending the text over the internet.
This website
chinaflash.cc uses no cookies, ads or analytics, and loads no third-party content. If you pick a theme, it is remembered only in your browser. The site is hosted on GitHub Pages, which may log technical visit data (such as your IP address) for security purposes, under GitHub's privacy policy.
Children
ChinaFlash is suitable for all ages and does not collect data from any user, including children.
Changes
If this policy changes, we will publish the new version on this page with its update date.
